Common wisdom on the GTS-1000 mailing list is to run a 120-section front tire rather than the stock 130. This is said to sharpen the steering considerably.

Stock Front 130/60ZR-17 ??psi
Rear 170/70ZR-17 ??psi
Recommended Front 120/70ZR-17 38psi
Rear 170/70ZR-17 40psi

Kevin Hawkins told the GTS-1000 mailing list:

Go for 38 front, 40 rear and you should be fine. The 120/70 at 38 psi greatly reduces the steering effort on the GTS and don't worry, theres plenty of rubber for the road. I've used this setup on the track and she sticks! 6/27/04
