There appear to be several accounts of Electrosport products failing due to what appears to be poor construction.

Modifications

MOSFET Regulator/Rectifiers

Update: The FH020AA and FH012AA appear to have the same performance, but the -020- is newer than the -012-. The -012- discontinued after the 2011 Japan earthquake.

This post says the Shindengen FH012AA FH020AA is now the best is the best regulator/rectifier in use today. It's rated at 50A output, and runs cooler than shunt-type regulators. It's used on:

  • 2015+ Yamaha FJR1300
  • 2013-2015 Honda CBR500R
  • 2007-2014 Yamaha FJR (older -12 model)
  • 2006-2014 Yamaha R1 (older -12 model)
