According to my recent interaction with the folks at RepairManuals.com, Yamaha has outsourced their printing to Crestec, which is the company being dealt with at YamahaPubs.com. The manuals I received from RepairManuals.com, printed in the USA (presumably, therefore, by Crestec), had very poor quality images. On the other hand, the owner's manual I ordered directly from YamahaPubs (a.k.a. Crestec) had a Genuine Yamaha wrapper and was of very high quality, an original print from the early 90's.

Bagster/Baglux
Bagster is a French company which makes products for the GTS.
Exhausts
R1
Some R1 exhausts are a direct swap. Others require adaptation.
Michael Ireton says:
I have installed the R1 cannister on my 94 GTS. IN order to do this you must
do four things:
1)Purchase 2 exhaust pipe reducer bushings, a 2 1/2 od x 2 1/4 id and a 2 1/4 od x 2 id. These will reduce the R1 canister pipe inlet to match the cat outlet on the GTS.
2)Drill out the rivets from the original strap location and slide it down and around to match the GTS mounting hole.
3)I used a flat round bar and a hammer to indent the R1 inlet pipe where the GTS rear brake lever interferes with thepipe.

Fuel Filter
The OEM fuel filter is expensive and will probably be out of stock at a dealer. Alternatives are:
- Purolator F44661 (one inch longer, sadly no longer available)
- AC/Delco GF708
- Fram G6495
- Wix 33500
According to Bob Taylor, any fuel filter that fits a Mitsubishi Starion (87-89) (Australian) should work.

Feeler Gauges
The Genesis 20-valve head requires feeler gauges which are narrower than standard feeler gauges. Some people cut down standard gauges, but there is concern that this may leave burrs.

Front Suspension Lubrication
The dreaded front-end squeak. If you hear the squeak, the bearings in the front swingarm should be disassembled and lubed as soon as possible. If this isn't done in a timely manner, the bearings will eat themselves and are quite costly to replace.
